Hersonissos
Hersonissos is considered the most developed tourist destination of Crete, due to the high range of quality services and attractions provided and is able to fulfill all the expectations.
Hersonissos can be divided in old and new Hersonissos. In old Hersonissos, land inward, you will find the ancient Greek culture, at the harbour you will find new Hersonissos. Near Hersonissos there are three small villages, Piskopiano and Koutouloufari and Old Hersonissos which are overlooking the busy resort of Hersonissos. The harbour of Hersonissos is famous for its night life and is mostly occupied by younger tourists who want to have fun at the beach and enjoy the nightlife, while the neighbouring villages offer quiet and peaceful environment for family vacation.
Hersonissos has one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete. However, in the high season the beach is a bit to small for everybody. But you will find a lot of places on the boulevard, and many beaches nearby, to enjoy the sun! Don’t forget you sunblock and party-face!
